The Strategy
After meeting the ambitious and accomplished team at GLSD, Springboard IT assessed the current technological needs and inquired about their future goals for said technology. Not only did GLSD require an interactive whiteboard solution to fit their current and future needs, but they also needed a professional development plan so their teachers would have a solid understanding of how to incorporate this new technology into their daily teaching habits.
GLSD decided to make Promethean ActivBoards their default district-wide solution for interactive whiteboards. The Promethean ActivBoard enabled multiple students to work together simultaneously. This collaborative functionality coupled with Promethean’s award-winning interactive software created an enhanced learning experience for students.
Springboard IT also designed a deployment plan to conveniently work around the district’s busy summer schedule. This multifaceted plan included an on-site Project Manager to be present during the entire install. Over the course of the project, Springboard IT's installation team seamlessly removed outdated whiteboard technology from the classrooms and installed the new Promethean ActivBoards. Additionally, Springboard IT’s Technology Coordinator visited the district multiple times during the year, performing Professional Development training sessions to ensure the staff felt confident and knowledgeable with their technology. These sessions ranged from Promethean Basics to subject-specific custom classes.
